SEAN P. ROGAN

My name is Sean P. Rogan and I am a music teacher located in Cranston, RI.  I have a Bachelor of Music in Music Education (K-12) from Berklee College of Music and over 20+ years of experience performing, touring, recording and teaching.

In 1996 at Berklee, my friends and I started a band called Big D and the Kids Table.  We have played 1000+ shows in over 20 countries, recorded multiple albums, videos and have established a strong fan base throughout the world.  I left the band in 2010 to settle down and start a family.  I now sing and play guitar in a Huey Lewis and the News cover band called Power of Love.  We are based out of Boston and every show we play is such a great time.

I am also a photographer, have about 1000 skydives, have been studying Iyengar Yoga since 2008 and have been happily married to my beautiful wife, Emily since 2009.  We've got an 13 year old daughter, Maggie and a 8 year old son, Van, and our youngest, Ben, is 6.  They rock.

Asa Spring

Asa Spring (they/them) graduated from Berklee in 2015 with a degree in Songwriting. Since then, they have played, toured, and recorded with bands like Rogozo (drums/guitar), The Radiant Obscurity Collective (bass), Monica Bang (drums), and Arachnodactyl (guitar/vocals). Asa loves pretty much all heavy music and also has a penchant for musical theater and bubblegum pop. Their favorite artists range from Propagandhi and System of a Down to Taylor Swift and Doja Cat.

The best show they’ve ever seen was The Dillinger Escape Plan at Great Scott in Boston in 2016. It was one of the band’s and the venue’s last shows. The band broke up shortly after and the venue didn’t survive covid. Huge band at a tiny venue. Also no one has more energy than Dillinger.

Olivia Giusti

My name is Olivia Giusti, and I work at the front desk and substitute for classes at You Rock School of Music. I can play guitar, keys, bass, and sing. I write and record my own songs in our studio and perform them at our open mics and other events. Currently, I am studying early childhood in high school with a paraprofessional degree pending. I love Taylor Swift and Phoebe Bridgers, and seeing them both play together at Gillette Stadium was definitely the best live performance I've ever seen. I am so grateful to be a part of this community and to have the opportunity to work in such an incredible place!

Jake Silva

My name is Jacob Silva and I am one of the many talented instructors at You Rock School of Music. Everyone has the potential to learn and play music at home or in a live setting, and it’s my job as a teacher to share critical skills and push you in the right direction to follow your musical aspirations. As far as experience, I’ve been playing for nine years and learned to play a handful of instruments including drums, bass, ukulele, piano, and guitar. My specialty is guitar instruction. However, I feel confident teaching any of the other instruments listed. I have a lot of experience teaching younger students (ages 6-12), as well as a handful of older students ranging from teenagers to older adults. Since joining You Rock, I’ve played in most of our events we are involved in including the Gaspee day parade, our open mics at Pub on Park, the blue room, and our You rock the neighborhood fundraiser in Pawtuxet Village. We have a very supportive community at You Rock and I look forward to sharing the gift of music.
